The Grand Alchemist

Yesterday gave me one of those experiences that doesn’t simply add knowledge—it rearranges something inside you.

It reminded me of the deep appreciation I have for the teachers who teach the teachers.

The noble ones.

The ones who understand that teaching is not about becoming the person with all the answers. It is about creating a container safe enough for another person to discover the answers already living within them.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being part of a retreat with 12 women, 1 man (me)…included in this number - 2 remarkable female teachers, RaChel and Caroline.

Thirteen people in total.

That’s an interesting number. I wonder if that was intentional??!

Thirteen, a number with an unjustified shadow.

Did you know it carries its own symbolism: a righteous number, representing a rebalancing of the traditional power paradigm of “12”—a movement toward something more inclusive, circular, receptive, and connected.

So why would a dude attend something like this?

A man, completing the 13 people, a number within a ‘Solar’ Divine Feminine movement, learning how to step more fully into his own leadership without needing to dominate the space. Looking more symbolically, I was a small symbol of hope of how we, as a society, move forward with greater balance of Oneness.

This was not about becoming more powerful over others.

It was actually about discovering our relationship to power and how we can best utilize it, while better understanding how we often give it away to others.

It was about becoming more responsible with power.

And that distinction matters.

So how can I utilize all this information to best support myself and those who seek The Nature Within, LLC services?

Remembering Our Light.

Once a person, with a truly unbalanced in a dominant mindset, forgot about his. The pain that revealed itself over and over, was trying to lead me somewhere. It was trying to tell me something but I didn’t know how to listen to it. This is a huge part of my design.

The greatest teachers don’t give us the answers. They create the conditions for us to discover our own.

I am deeply grateful for the teachers who teach the teachers—the noble ones who know how to hold a safe, intentional container where we can move beyond the identities, wounds, and stories we’ve carried and begin meeting the person underneath them.

Yesterday was a deeper look into an expansion beyond traditional structures of power and authority and toward a more balanced relationship with receptivity, intuition, embodiment, connection, and leadership.

As the one man in the room, I found myself reflecting deeply on my own relationship with the Divine Feminine.

I don’t believe my role is to lead away from the Divine Feminine or over it.

I believe it is to learn how to lead with it.

To embody strength without hardness.

Communication without control.

Protection without possession.

Leadership without hierarchy.

Ultimately, my guidance is to become more of a compassionate male presence who helps others recognize the light and power already within themselves.

From Knowing to Embodying

Gene Keys?

Our internal framework for how we work with our human blueprint.

These keys identified, offered powerful reflections around my Life’s Work, Evolution, Radiance, and Purpose.

But the greatest lesson wasn’t simply what I learned.

It was this:

Can I live it?

This is the journey I’ve been on for a while now.

We can read, study, meditate, talk, and understand ourselves endlessly.

But eventually, wisdom asks us to move from the mind into the body.

From knowing → experiencing.

From information → transformation.

From understanding → embodiment.

This is where healing becomes real.

My Life’s Work reminded me of the importance of trust, support, honor, and long-term service.

I have historically been someone who tries to figure things out alone. Asking for help hasn’t always felt natural. Independence can feel safe—but sometimes independence becomes isolation.

Maybe this is also a theme for you as well.

I am learning that leadership doesn’t mean doing everything alone.

Receiving support is not weakness. Connection is not weakness. Vulnerability is not weakness.

Sometimes leadership means allowing ourselves to be witnessed.

A past word of kryptonite, CHANGE, is part of the roadmap. We all know change is inevitable. Beginnings and Endins…this is the constant cycle that all of us move through in order to move into new experiences, new growth patterns, new relationships, and new understandings.

So, Finish what you start.

Complete the cycle.

Release what has completed its purpose.

Let endings become doorways rather than failures.

I am continually learning how to stop gripping what is familiar simply because it is familiar.

Can I move more fluidly with each new opportunity the new day presents me.

Yesterday confirmed so many things about the work that holds great purpose:

My catalyst for all that I do begins with breath.

For Pain.

For Deeper Understanding.

For the True Alchemization into Wisdom.

Yup, this is why the breath connection has been so vital in my transformation. I completely see it now.

As I have mentioned many times before, the body holds intelligence.

The mind is a powerful tool, but it cannot be the only place we live.

Move.

Breathe.

Explore.

Play.

Experience.

Listen to the body.

Nature, movement, breath, Reiki, meditation, relationships, and lived experience have taught me things that no amount of intellectual study could provide.

Breath creates the space to see where fears and wounds control us. It helps us see beyond the conditioned definitions we have adopted.

We continually evolve beyond the definitions we’ve created for ourselves.

Change isn’t something happening to us. It is part of how life continually invites us into greater love, awareness, and possibility.

The Grand Alchemist

This was the final offering of a message for me to carry the torch forward.

An archetype to continue to embrace in my own work.

The alchemist doesn’t erase the wound.

The alchemist asks:

What can this become?

Betrayal can become discernment.

Distrust can become self-trust.

Unworthiness can become an understanding of inherent worth.

People-pleasing can become authenticity.

Judgment can become compassion and boundaries.

Silence can become voice.

Wounding can become wisdom.

And wisdom can become service.

Service…a driving force for my inner work’s purpose. Support those who are seeking their own light.

Nothing has to be wasted, ever.

This is the heart of alchemy.

The Work of The Nature Within

So why am I sharing all of this with you?

Some are not quite ready to walk through the doors of The Nature Within, LLC at Laura Ramirez, LLC (collaborative partnership) in Berlin, CT. Some read quietly in private, which is such a moving sentiment for me.

The alchemization of my work can support others on their own timeline, wherever they are. This is secretly where my most passionate work begins and ends…writing. So for all of you who read within their own privacy and comfort, I see you, I feel you, and I thank you greatly from the bottom of my heart.

This retreat helpedfurther clarify something for me about The Nature Within.

I don’t want to simply provide services.

I create spaces of remembering. Of returning back to truth…our own.

A Reiki session can become a space of remembering.

Breathwork can become a space of remembering.

Meditation can become a space of remembering.

Coaching can become a space of remembering.

Writing can become a space of remembering.

Community can become a space of remembering.

Remembering - who we were before the world told us who we needed to be.

Remembering our voice.

Our worth.

Our intuition.

Our power.

Our connection.

Our ability to trust ourselves.

The goal isn’t:

“I heal you.”

It is:

“I help create the conditions in which your own healing can emerge.”

That distinction is at the heart of the work I want to continue developing.

Beneath the Wounds

Much of my work continues to circle around several core wounds:

Distrust → Can I learn to discern without living in hypervigilance?

Unworthiness → Can I receive without needing to prove my value?

Betrayal and safety → Can I create boundaries without completely closing myself off?

Judgment and people-pleasing → Can I remain connected to myself while remaining connected to others?

And perhaps beneath all of them is one essential question:

Can I be fully myself and still be loved, safe, connected and supported?

That question belongs in healing spaces.

It belongs in relationships.

It belongs in families.

And it belongs in leadership.

The Divine Feminine, Power, and Love

The Divine Feminine continues to teach me that power does not have to mean dominance.

It can be receptive.

Intuitive.

Embodied.

Nurturing.

Creative.

Relational.

Compassionate.

Wise.

And powerful.

My own work is about helping people reclaim their power—not power over others, but power within themselves. My work must be self-focused first, the gift of healing always begins there. So does the potential power we hold.

The power to speak.

The power to choose.

The power to change.

The power to set boundaries.

The power to receive.

The power to begin again.

The power to stop abandoning themselves.

So let’s continue inviting in more light.

Light equals power.

And our work is not to become someone else’s light.

It is to remember our own.

Nature Holds the Keys

This is also why the name The Nature Within continues to feel so meaningful.

Nature teaches us everything about change.

The seasons don’t apologize for changing.

Trees don’t resist becoming something new.

Water doesn’t cling to the shape it once held.

The sun rises and sets without asking permission.

Animals move according to instinct.

Life continually transforms.

Perhaps healing asks us to do the same.

To become less rigid.

More receptive.

More embodied.

More trusting.

More connected to the natural intelligence within and around us.

Nature holds the keys.

A Teacher Who Is Still Learning

Yesterday reminded me that I am not stepping into leadership because I have all the answers.

I am continuing to step into leadership because I am willing to keep walking.

I am still learning.

Still questioning.

Still changing.

Still meeting my own shadows.

Still discovering where I give my power away.

Still learning how to trust.

Still learning how to receive.

Still learning how to let go.

Still learning how to love without attachment.

And perhaps that is exactly what makes the work meaningful.

I don’t need to have the entire path figured out to help illuminate a portion of it.

I simply need to walk it honestly.

That is what a Way-Walker does.

Not show others where they should go—

but walk authentically enough that someone else realizes:

“Maybe I can walk my way, too.”

To the Teachers Who Teach the Teachers

To RaChel and Caroline, and to all of the teachers who have helped me see myself more clearly:

Thank you.

Thank you for holding space.

Thank you for asking the questions.

Thank you for creating safety.

Thank you for reminding me that the teacher is always the student.

And thank you for reminding me that true leadership isn’t about collecting power.

It is about returning power to the people we serve.

This is the work I want to continue through The Nature Within.

To help people find their roadmap back to themselves. We all have one.

So, along the Way, know that returning to balance requires a shift. It’s not easy work, but know you have a dedicated soul who continues to do the “work” in order to best support you along your journey.

From This To That…

From wounding to wisdom.

From wisdom to service.

From surviving to living.

From knowing to embodying.

From fear to trust.

From self-abandonment to self-connection.

And ultimately—

from forgetting our light to remembering that it was never gone.

That is the alchemy.

That is the work.

And that is the path I am grateful to keep walking.
