Do you struggle with patience or losing your cool? Is focus or attention an issue? Do you get caught up in the holiday season feeling the pressure of getting it all done or creating perfection? Introducing a five-part class series of building the 'meditation muscle' by way of breath. It's a great way to be accountable and to learn how to use breath as we move beyond impulses of the mind. This is a class where we take ourselves to a different kind of gym. In today's world, patience seems to be slipping through our fingers. With endless comforts conveniences and constant stimulation the ability to pause and wait feels more fleeting than ever. We are surrounded by the ideology of multitasking, push to move faster, check off more boxes and to get things done. This pace has a cost. For many of us, our days are filled with overstimulated, impacted nervous systems. If you are someone with an inner drive to rush or you feel the pressure to constantly keep up, then you know how hard it can be to stop - even for a moment. Sitting in stillness or creating a pause can feel unbearable, uncomfortable, or even impossible This is where this class comes in! This five-part series is designed to meet you right where you are. Every session begins and ends with breath. Why? Because breath is the nervous system's greatest "hack." It intercepts the runaway impulses, the rapid-fire thoughts, the inner noise that feels impossible to tame. This class is not about perfection. It's about practice. Together we will build the meditation muscle slowly through accessible breathing techniques and guided practices that help you create incremental pockets of space - tiny openings of patience that grow over time. If you have ever felt like meditation was too hard, not for me, or I can't sit still long enough, this class is for you. You don't have to fight your mind, you just need to build the muscle. Join me for Build the muscle: it all starts with breath Tuesday evenings at 6:30- 7:15pm. Learn how to simple daily practices can calm your nervous system, open your awareness, and bring patience back into your life. Home practices will be provided to keep you accountable between each class.
