CONFIDENTLY HUMBLE

A few people came to mind when I was in deep thought…

(I use “they” and “we” interchangeably - as “we” aren’t always able, so we need others to show up in our hard times).

This was written as a result of feeling embraced by those who stand in their power while not trying to fix anything or project their own agendas. These are the people with a deep sense of knowing themselves while holding space for others.

In the times when we aren’t in the best frame of mind, or seeing things with the clearest perspective, it is the few who always continue to show up as our “rocks” when needed.

We all know who they are.

As I created a sacred pause, this was a theme that kept surfacing in the background…

”confidently humble.”

“Confidently Humble”

— The Nature Within

To All the Ones Who Show Up, Authentically
To All the Ones Who Show Up, Authentically

When the work is done and ease is on the way,

we stand confidently humble.

No ills, no thrills, no chills,

no need for pills,

we stand confidently humble.

In the winds of change —

for ourselves, and for others —

we stand confidently humble.

When we are open to learning,

and knowing that we don’t yet know,

we stand confidently humble.

We all know those who show their power in silence, who speak only when it’s time —

they stand confidently humble.

Through the ups and downs,

when patience is tested,

they stand confidently humble.

No bragging, no boasting,

no proving or defending —

their energy is confidently humble.

We all know the ones we call when needing a lifeline.

They always answer the call —

confidently humble.

They are steadfast,

calmly balanced in their emotions,

unshaken by reaction, untouched by ego.

They stand confidently humble.

Through the depths of despair,

you can feel they’ve been there.

Their empathy embraces our struggle —

confidently humble.

Their energy meets the moment.

They call upon what’s needed,

standing in their power —

confidently humble.

We are the ones who draw on our inner strength,

whose discipline is unseen behind closed doors.

Patience earned,

wisdom worn as a quiet badge of honor —

so we can show up for others,

confidently humble.

One of the universal laws is to give and receive freely.

These are the ones who honor this sacred code —

they stand confidently humble.

Where simplicity guides thought and action,

and perspective becomes clear —

when we finally arrive back home,

Grateful and completely humbled.

Our inner world isn’t a battleground as one might think.

We are at home in our being.

To know ourselves

is to trust in the gifts we bring —

whether in relationship, in service, or in silence,

we stand confidently humble.

Through kindness and compassion,

through courage and strength,

we begin each day

confidently humble.

We all know the ones who stand the test of time —

their aura - a quiet confidence,

their rhythm steady,

their patience earned.

They are the ones who minimize their own achievements,

quiet and confidently humble.

In a world so full of noise,

may we take a moment to recognize

those who came to mind as we read these words —

the ones who walk with grace,

give without expectation,

and support without needing to be seen.

They remind us all

that the quiet ones often carry the brightest light.

They are, and forever will be,

confidently humble.
