Peace: Know You, Be You

Peace:

A Theme of Yesterday

Yesterday, Laura and I facilitated a Reiki Master certification training for three beautiful individuals.

Over the course of the day, a few different themes seemed to arise, but one was the most obvious… Peace.

Where does it come from?

When is the last time we have actually experienced it?

Peace often arises as a “return.”

We cannot hold it, force it, or grasp onto it. We must allow ourselves to receive it.

It often feels like a gentle “washing over” of the mind and body. As it unfolds, the mind finally begins to settle from the pressing thoughts, tasks, and to-dos. The heart opens into safety and trust. The breath deepens, and we surrender into the realization of a feeling of peace that exists beyond what we try to control.

Contentment and tranquility are feelings that can settle us and our nervous system.

Peace…it results when energies are in harmony and relationships are in balance, both inside and outside of ourselves.

Sometimes there can be an internal recalibration that happens. Something stabilizes our inner knowing and our connection to the feeling of love—above all things.

It can bring a tear to our eye, warmth to our heart, and a remembrance that comes from an inner knowing.

Yesterday, Laura and I shared such a beautiful day with three individuals who continued onward in their Reiki journey.

“Master” is the term used at this level.

Master is a term that often gets thrown around quite easily.

How can a day of Reiki training create such a thing?

A label of “master” can be a difficult one to live up to, honor, or even believe.

As Reiki practitioners move into their journey of becoming a Reiki “Master,” it is often a culmination of the many days prior to the day of training—days of using, practicing, and working with an energy called Reiki.

Those who are called to this level often feel a pull of readiness within. Those individuals step into their readiness, willingness, and belief in their own abilities to share the light within themselves with the world.

That, in itself, is such a beautifully masterful realization.

Reiki is misunderstood by some because it is not all about transferring or channeling energy during a session.

Reiki is so much more than that.

It can become a lifestyle—truly, a way of being.

It often allows us to move about the world differently.

Those who are attuned to this energy do not necessarily have to utilize its potential only in sessions. It can help organize our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions in everything we do in life.

With each subsequent class, Reiki becomes more refined, raising the vibratory connection to the frequencies available to us.

So what does this mean?

Whether it is our quest for love, patience, light, power, will, creativity, safety, intuition, trust, connection, truth, integrity, clarity, or peace…

Our relationship with these qualities can become greatly enhanced.

For those who move into these higher frequencies, our desire to show up in the world with the ability to hold more light is also enhanced.

From a higher perspective, we are all masters in our own ways. When we move through the world more connected, we allow ourselves the gift of what lies deep within.

When we are truly connected to our heart and soul, we allow ourselves a greater connection to peace.

When we move through our lives more freely from the elements and desires that can lead us into strain, we offer ourselves a path toward inner peace, happiness, joy, and love.

A master is one who begins to love and trust themselves, despite whatever conditions are happening outside of them.

It is not that chaos isn’t there.

It is. But we can step aside from it more easily.

We tend not to dwell in it.

When situations do impact us, we are able to move through them more easily and see them for what they are—often a learning lesson.

Peace arises when there is trust and safety anchoring the heart.

That is where peace resides…in the heart.

A master often begins to live from this heart space, away from the confusion and turmoil of trying to be someone else.

A master begins to know and understand themselves better.

A master becomes more comfortable moving throughout the world in the most connected way, embracing their individual gifts and sharing them with the universe in whatever way they are called to.

We are always arriving, but never truly there.

We are always a work in progress.

Hence, life is called a journey.

Peace often returns when we trust the natural order of things.

Peace is a practice of trust.

So I would like to thank Jessica, Jayme, and Felix for spending the day with Laura and me for this Reiki Master training.

It is such an honor to see those who come through our doors leave as brighter lights—lights that shine from the center of their being and allow that light to shine outward to their loved ones and community.

So may you all go forward shining your beautiful light.

Be you.

The world is in desperate need of it.
