The Unhealed Parts

The World of Energy: Where Truth Lives Beneath Words

There was a time when my understanding of the world was built on what could be measured, proven, and solved. Mathematics and science gave structure to reality—clean lines, clear answers, dependable outcomes. “Math doesn’t lie,” they say. And for a long time, that felt like the truest statement I knew.

Then I stepped into the world of energy.

At first, it seemed like a completely different language—one that didn’t rely on numbers, but on sensation, intuition, and awareness. Yet over time, something unexpected happened: the two worlds didn’t contradict each other. They integrated. Where science gave me structure, energy gave me depth. Where math showed me certainty, energy revealed truth.

Because energy doesn’t lie either.

You can see it in the subtle tightening of someone’s jaw, the way their shoulders round forward, or how their breath shortens when certain topics arise. Beyond words, beyond explanation, the body is always communicating. Micro-movements, posture, tone—these are the quiet messengers of what is truly happening beneath our worlds. Words can be curated, filtered, even distorted. But energy tells the story as it is.

This is where the chakra system becomes a powerful lens. Chakras—literally meaning “wheels”—represent the flow of energy throughout the body. Each one holds a relationship to how we experience life, from our sense of safety to our ability to love, express, and create.

When we look at the lower energy centers—the root, sacral, and solar plexus—we begin to understand how deeply our early environments shape us.

The root chakra governs safety, stability, and trust. If those foundations were shaken in early life—through unpredictability, fear, or lack of support—this energy center often carries the imprint. It shows up later as a need for control, hyper-vigilance, over-preparation… or even avoidance.

The sacral chakra, our center of creativity and emotional flow, can become restricted when expression didn’t feel safe. When joy, play, or emotion were suppressed, we learn to hold back rather than flow freely.

The solar plexus, often called the seat of personal power, carries the question: Am I enough? This is where self-worth either strengthens or weakens. When impacted, it influences how we show up in the world—whether we shrink, overcompensate, control, or hesitate.

These lower centers directly influence the heart.

The heart chakra holds truth, connection, and the deep desire to give and receive love. Yet when the lower chakras are imbalanced, the heart’s expression becomes filtered. We may long for connection but protect ourselves from it at the same time. We hold truths close, guarded by fear of judgment, rejection, or abandonment. Over time, what was never said or acted upon can lead to regret later on.

And then comes the throat chakra, where expression lives. When the internal world is filled with doubt, fear, or unprocessed emotion, our voice reflects it. We silence ourselves, over-explain, or speak from a place that isn’t fully aligned with truth.

Over time, this misalignment creates a pattern.

You can see it in the “type A” planner who needs control to feel safe, the one who over-prepares to avoid failure, or the one who under-prepares because trying feels too vulnerable. You can feel it in the tightening of the stomach, the heat rising in the chest, the knot in the gut when fear or pressure takes hold.

The body speaks in sensations: a pull, a spasm, a pulse of energy. The solar plexus flares during moments of internal conflict—when we’re navigating fear, excitement, or the need to regain control. The root and solar plexus often work together here, sounding internal alarms when safety feels threatened.

And how we respond in those moments tells a deeper story.

The hothead, the one who reacts quickly.

The hider, who retreats inward.

The freezer, who becomes still and stuck.

Each response is not random—it is energetic. It is patterned. It is learned.

When we are in alignment—with our heart, our truth, our internal compass—there is a sense of openness. Breath flows. The body softens. Decisions feel clear. But when we are out of alignment, everything tightens. We overthink, overreact, or withdraw. We begin to believe the internal narratives that keep us small.

Those quiet, self-degrading thoughts—I’m not enough… I can’t… I shouldn’t…—feed the solar plexus in ways that diminish our power. Energy becomes stagnant. Expression becomes limited. And over time, the gap between who we are and how we show up begins to widen.

Even our dreams are affected.

When the root, sacral, solar plexus, and heart are imbalanced, fear and uncertainty shape our decisions. Vision becomes clouded. What once felt like possibility starts to feel like pressure. Responsibility turns into dread. And dreams, instead of expanding us, begin to weigh on us.

Because without energetic alignment, it’s difficult to bring something meaningful into reality.

The Nature Within

This is where practices like Reiki, breathwork, and conscious coaching become more than just tools—they become pathways back to alignment. Reiki works gently yet powerfully to move stagnant energy, restoring flow where there has been tension or holding. Breathwork reconnects you to the present moment, regulating the nervous system and creating space between reaction and response. Coaching brings awareness to the patterns and beliefs that have been operating beneath the surface. Together, they support a return to balance—where the body softens, the mind clears, and the heart can lead again. And from that place, you don’t have to force change… you begin to live it.
