I write a lot about all-things “within.” There’s so much beneath the surface that goes unnoticed, quietly shaping our ability to trust our inner guidance. We’re often being moved in ways we’re not consciously aware of, and in that, we can lose touch with the deeper awareness that’s always available to us.
There’s a quiet intelligence within us that doesn’t speak in logic first—it speaks in awe.
That moment when something stops you…
a person, a place, an opportunity, a feeling you can’t fully explain—but you know. Not in your head, but somewhere deeper. Steadier. I often feel this connection in the heart, solar plexus and nervous system. It’s often a warm full-body awareness response.
Awe is often misunderstood as something we experience “out there,” but in truth, it’s a reflection of what’s being recognized within.
It’s the body saying:
this matters
this is aligned
pay attention
When we’re connected to ourselves, awe becomes a kind of inner compass.
It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t force.
It simply draws us—toward what feels meaningful, alive, and true.
And when that connection fades…
when we stop trusting that quiet knowing…
we tend to look outside of ourselves for direction.
We lean into rigid systems.
We follow prescribed paths.
We hand our authority over to structures that promise certainty.
And to be clear—those systems have their place.
They can offer stability when we feel untethered.
But they are often a response to something deeper: a disconnection from our own inner guidance.
Because when awe is present, we don’t need as much external validation.
There’s a natural trust that begins to rebuild.
We start to recognize:
the same feeling that moves us in a quiet moment… is the same force guiding us toward the people, places, and experiences that belong in our life.
Awe becomes less about wonder…
and more about remembering.
Remembering that your body knows.
Your heart knows. So do your cells…all of them.
There is a deeper intelligence within you that doesn’t need to be overthought—only listened to.
And maybe the practice isn’t to go searching for answers…but to reconnect with the feeling that already points the way.
If you’re feeling called to explore that connection more deeply, The Nature Within offers spaces to slow down, tune in, and rediscover your own sense of awe—
through breathwork, meditation, and grounded, intentional support.
Sometimes, all it takes is a pause…
to remember what’s already guiding you.
It’s a pretty awe-some connection to connect with.
