Isn’t it interesting how many of us can resist the simple act of receiving?

Whether it’s a compliment, a heartfelt gift, or a financial exchange for something of genuine value — we often tense, deflect, or minimize. Many of us feel uncomfortable allowing the flow of abundance to move toward us.

But energy is meant to circulate. That’s how it thrives.

When it’s blocked or hoarded, it stagnates — and stagnation is the slow death of flow.

To live abundantly, we must let energy move in both directions — outward with intention and generosity, and inward with openness and gratitude.

Receiving is not selfish. It’s sacred.

It honors the giver.

It affirms your own worth.

It completes the energetic cycle.

A Moment in Meditation

Tonight, during meditation, I found myself sitting with this theme. I could feel subtle resistance within me — old stories about worthiness, the safety of receiving, the lingering discomfort around financial abundance.

It wasn’t that I was unaware of these blocks — it’s that they surfaced in a new light.

And then, a vision arose: a rooster.

At first, I wasn’t sure why. But as I sat with it, I began to understand its message.

The Spiritual Symbolism of the Rooster 🐓

The rooster’s crow marks the first light of a new day.

It doesn’t call to make the sun rise — it calls because it knows it will.

That’s the essence of spiritual trust.

The rooster stands as a messenger of light, courage, and readiness.

It symbolizes awakening, renewal, and the confidence to meet what is coming.

Spiritually, the rooster represents:

Awakening — clarity after long periods of shadow or rest.

Courage — standing tall, speaking truth, and owning your unique rhythm.

Receptivity — opening your heart to the blessings already making their way toward you.

The rooster doesn’t question the dawn.

It simply prepares for it.

It knows the light is coming.

That’s the heart of receiving — trusting the unseen and preparing your inner landscape for what you desire to experience.

The Practice of Receptivity

Abundance can never be chased. It can only be received.

To be receptive, we must feel worthy of abundance.

We must feel safe with it.

We must believe we are deserving of it.

This is not arrogance — it’s alignment.

When we rise with inner knowing — with trust in our work, our timing, and the natural rhythm of the universe — we stop chasing and start allowing.

We meet the dawn within us.

We become ready, grounded, and open.
