Coming Home, Again

Coming Home, Again. And Again…

Coming home is a process….A humbling one.

This is the process of coming back to the place where things just make sense. It’s a feeling of the heart rather than an intellectualized one.

It’s the slow, tender journey of finding our way back to that inner place — the one that knows when change must happen. It’s where our lessons live, tucked gently inside the hidden corners of the heart. These lessons are our treasures. They guide us back to peace. They guide us back to clarity. And ultimately, they guide us back to happiness.

When life feels heavy, and the heart is burdened with stress or anxiety, gratitude can seem far away. But that’s exactly when we need it most. Gratitude, even in its smallest expression, is the opposite energy that moves us toward freedom.

When we’re caught in the loops of anger, guilt, grief, or overwhelm, coming home becomes a practice — not a thought, not a concept, but something we feel through the body.

Because the body knows.

It always knows.

It is the keeper of our stories, emotions, and experiences. It holds fatigue, tension, responsibilities, relationship strain, and all the energies that flow through us daily. When it all becomes too much, the body doesn’t lie. It simply shuts down.

And that shutdown?

It’s not weakness.

It’s disguised, and is a badge of honor…of yourself, for yourself.

It’s a message. An invitation to start again — to return to ourselves with new eyes, to reconnect with our original nature.

The Practice of Coming Home

My word for 2025 is pause.

I had NO idea how many different experiences would support the true essence of this word throughout this past year.

Ten months. It has shown its importance everyday. For the lessons I have learned, and for the ones I’m not quite ready to learn from yet.

So how do we get “Home?” This is one of my approaches.

We all look for ways when we are just not feeling “right.”

Pause leads to to so many things.

To pause means to stop doing, stop fixing, stop analyzing — and simply feel.

Take a breath. Take a moment. Notice your body.

You don’t need to change anything. You don’t have to understand it. You’re not here to solve, only to see.

Ask quietly:

  • Where do I feel this?

  • What does it feel like?

  • Is it tight? Heavy? Warm?

  • Is there movement, or is it still?

Let yourself notice without judgment.

As you slow your breath and lengthen your exhale, allow the body to show you more. You might see an image or sense a texture or shape — round, twisted, heavy, flowing, or still. This is your body’s language.

When you identify what feels “true,” the body will tell you.

Something softens. Something releases. Something will happen, it may be very slight as this relationship is being built.

If it doesn’t feel quite right, stay curious. The communication will adjust naturally.

This is the conversation — quiet, wordless, and wise — between sensation and awareness.

You’re not fixing anything.

You’re simply listening.

The Quiet Wisdom Within: yes, we all have it.

When you listen to the body, you’re also speaking to your soul.

This is how trust builds — not through control, but through patience.

When you practice this kind of listening, the body begins to trust you. The nervous system starts to relax. Your inner world opens up. The breath deepens. The heart softens.

And that’s when it happens — the subtle, peaceful moment of coming home.

Coming home is not a single moment or milestone. It’s a lifelong practice — a steady return to the truth that peace, clarity, and joy have always lived within you.

All we ever have to do is pause, listen, and trust the way back.

This is the home of the heart; the heart of the Home.

This is your Nature Within.
