“I Know A Guy”

Is It a Business or Is It a Hobby?

This is the question I’ve been asking myself for the past year and a half.

The Nature Within has always been more than a business — it’s a lifestyle, a passion, and a sacred reflection of who I am. It was never something meant to be sold, branded, or marketed through a commercial lens. It was born from a deep need to heal, to reconnect, and to rediscover joy.

Over the past month, I’ve reflected deeply on how something that began so purely — as a personal return to health, wellness, and peace — started to morph into another job. Another responsibility. And that’s where I drew the line.

This can never be just a job for me. The original draw was to heal, not to hustle.

All of the services that grew from The Nature Within — Reiki, breathwork, meditation, coaching — were born from the intention to pause, reflect, and learn how to love myself again. For far too long, I tried to numb or outrun the stressors of life. The Nature Within became my way to soothe the mind and body so my spirit could find its way home again.

We’ve all been there — lost, lonely, in pain, or feeling broken. And yet, every one of those moments has a purpose. What comes into our lives is divinely planned. It arrives with meaning, with lessons, and with opportunities to grow.

For me, The Nature Within has always been an internal process — not a public performance. No expectations. No attachments. No hidden agendas.

It’s at its best when I’m simply present. When inspiration flows naturally — through writing, teaching, or offering a session — it’s because I’m connected to something deeper. If that connection draws clients, wonderful. If not, that’s exactly as it should be.

No group strategy meetings. No brainstorming the “next thing.” No chasing numbers, traffic, or reputation. No need to prove myself. Just being. Quietly doing the work that matters most, without validation or applause.

Because when The Nature Within becomes a job, a gimmick, or a brand strategy — it loses its magic. It starts to feel like a heavy cloud instead of light.

Running a business the right way demands time, energy, and constant attention — but when those consume the day, they can quickly drain the very source of joy that inspired the work in the first place. Anxiety and attachment take over, and the original purpose — to heal and be — gets buried.

When The Nature Within is practiced authentically, without the goal of generating revenue, joy naturally returns. Love and purpose resurface. Connection deepens.

I’ve realized I don’t need more.

I need less.

Less doing, more being.

Less striving, more surrender.

Less noise, more clarity.

The Nature Within isn’t a task or a to-do list — it’s a lifeline. It’s my way of reconnecting with what matters most. Whatever emerges from it — a teaching, a session, a piece of writing — is exactly what it’s meant to be.

No expansion plans. No strategic pivots. Just presence.

There’s an old Buddhist saying: “When you are cooking, cook. When you are playing, play.”

That’s the essence of The Nature Within — presence.

Lately, my energy has been scattered across too many responsibilities, and it’s time for a reset — a kind of market correction for the soul. Through rest, relaxation, and rebuilding my spirit, my vision becomes clear again. My energy renews. My connection to life deepens.

It’s often when we pause — when we stop trying so hard — that the universe sends us exactly what we need.

So, The Nature Within isn’t disappearing. It’s simply pivoting — into a slower, more personal, and deeply intentional space.

From here forward, any service or training will be an intimate one-to-one experience, or for small groups who come together intentionally. My focus will be on one of the most important things we can ever offer another person: attention — undivided, uninterrupted, and fully present attention to what you need in this moment.

No bells. No whistles. Just me — here, grounded, and attentive.

And if you’re seeking a relaxed Reiki, coaching, breathwork, or meditation experience…
